This summer the Bureau County Farm Bureau Board of Directors spent extensive time considering the option to reorganize the current board structure. At the August 9th board meeting, a motion was made and seconded to adopt and move forward with the following concept: "The County will be divided into 4 quarters, 3 voting members from each quarter will be elected, 4 At Large members will also be elected, plus 4 officers. This would make the Bureau County Farm Bureau board a total of 20 members."
A letter was sent to each voting member within the county in August asking for input for the board. At the September 13 board meeting, the board adopted the resolution to amend the bylaws to restructure the board of directors.
The map of the county shows the new district structure for the Bureau County Farm Bureau. Elections for the board members will take place at the County Annual Meeting in January 2011.
