Chicago Architecture Foundation River Cruise

Event Date and Time:
June 20, 2012 - 8:00am
Join the Bureau and Stark County Farm Bureaus on Wednesday, June 20 for a trip to Chicago for a Chicago Architecture Foundation River Cruise.
The Chicago Architecture Foundation River Cruise aboard Chicago's First Lady is a "must" for out-of-towners and Chicagoans alike. CAF certified volunteer tour guides-called docents-interpret more than 50 buildings along the Chicago River, revealing how the city grew from a small back-country outpost into one of the world's most important crossroads in less than 100 years.
Our tour will provide an overview of historic and modern architectural styles, plus many stories about the people who designed and built the city. The Chicago Architecture Foundation has literally written the book about the Chicago River, so accept no substitutes!
Cost for the trip will be $100 and will be due at the time of sign up. The trip will include round trip transportation from the Stark County Farm Bureau office to the cruise departure point and cruise. The coach will leave the Farm Bureau office in Toulon at 8:00a.m and return around 6:00p.m. (If there is enough interest there will be a departure point in Princeton). Departure time may change due to additional pick up locations. A minimum of twenty reservations are required to make the trip. You do not have to be a Farm Bureau member to enjoy this fun and exciting day trip. Reserve your seats by calling the Farm Bureau office at 815-875-6468 by May 23.
